Dhanyaa: the vegetarian
take away not to be missed
The first vegetarian take
away of Lausanne, operated by our friend, Azeem Amarshi, is situated
just two minutes from the station. It is an address not to be missed by
the vegetarians of the region, or those passing through. At Dhanyaa,
which has just celebrated its third birthday, Azeem offers everyday
several dishes, of which at least one will be purely vegan. Very
sensitive to the preferences of his customers, Azeem has developed a
considerable array of dishes which are 100% vegan. Although
specializing in Indian cooking, there are also on offer dishes from
other cuisines: lasagnes, couscous, sushis. He has also the secret for
preparing mouth-watering sweet delicacies. Dhanyaa's customers will
readily testify that Azeem Amarshi is a master in the art of
vegetarian cuisine, hot or mild (according to taste), and nutritionally
truly balanced.
Dhanyaa also does catering (order 48 hours in advance), with success
guaranteed for your parties!

In his baba-cool lair,
Azeem Amarshi offers a variety of inventive curries, without omitting
spiritual nourishments: Each Saturday Le Temps offers a gastronomic
suggestion, (this one) by Justine Durand......
"I am interested in the authentic Indian cooking, not in doing the
health-cuisine for snobs", says Azeem Amarshi, who was born in Tanzania
of Indian parents from Gujarat.
"I do often adapt the recipes to suit the local vegetables, and there
are some fusion and non-Indian dishes, like the halwa, a dessert found
in Turkey and in the Arab countries". Or his memorable tofuburgers,
which beats the french fries stuff hollow. All this offered for a
remarkable quality-price ratio...
We have here indeed someone smitten, who counts not his working hours,
and refuses to make compromises.
